Write Like A Girl LIVE at 21Soho Below, London | An acoustic 'listening' music venue operated by TALENTBANQ
Write Like A Girl is BACK! In our first show since 2023, join us for an intimate night of live music and storytelling featuring some of the UK's best female songwriting talent. We are so excited to be back championing female songwriters in our Nashville-style songwriters circle. Artists will perform "in the round" sharing stripped back versions of their songs and the stories behind them.
Did you know less than 20% of UK songwriters are women? Write Like A Girl began in 2018 as a "writers round" tour to put the spotlight back on women in music. Featuring Beth Keeping, Emily Faye, Vic Allen and local female artists from different UK cities, the initiative grew exponentially with a second UK tour and sell-out showcases in London, Newcastle and Bristol. After a hiatus, Write Like A Girl is back in London and we can't wait to welcome a new cohort of talented women to share their songs on our stage.
Beth Keeping blends wistful storytelling with colourful pop soundscapes to create her unique brand of “pop stories”. Her desire is to help listeners feel seen in whatever situation they find themselves in, with songs about singleness, self-worth and mental health connecting with people across the world. Beth is a passionate champion of women in music and founded Write Like A Girl in 2018 with UK tours alongside fellow country artists Vic Allen and Emily Faye, as well as showcases in London, Bristol and Newcastle.
Kylie Price is a captivating songstress who blends her New Zealand roots and Filipino heritage into a unique musical tapestry. Her sound combines deeply emotional lyricism with infectious hooks, making her music both introspective and relatable.
Anna Pancaldi, an enchanting and noteworthy London-based singer-songwriter influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Carole King proves a rare talent with her wondrous vocals and thought-provoking songwriting. Anna's exquisite latest musical offerings are effortlessly honest, touchingly relatable and is a performer known for her deeply affecting live performances.
