Unsigned & Gifted LIVE at The Camden Chapel | An acoustic ‘listening’ music venue operated by TALENTBANQ
Unsigned and Gifted is an artist development programme created by The Sound Of Everything UK, with support from the Arts Council of England and The National Lottery UK, PRS for Music and The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP). Our mission is to empower a diverse spectrum of grassroots musicians and artists to monetise their creativity and build an industry network, as early as possible in their career, by combining live music showcases with educational workshops and a licensing platform specialising in sync.
We are thrilled to have our third live showcase at Camden Chapel, on 16th of November 2023. Two acts from our 2023 cohort, Julia Widagee and Freya Everest, will be on stage to showcase the music that made us love them!
Julia Widagee is an R&B/Soul singer with an acoustic hushed folk style in some of her writing, who counts Lianne La Havas and Norah Jones among her biggest influences. Originally from Italy, Julia comes from an incredibly artistic and talented family, who have always been supportive and have encouraged her to pursue her passion for dancing and singing. The London-based singer released her debut single ‘Feel Fine’ in June, which turns her journey and personal experience into an uplifting song with memorable hooks and dreamy melodies.
Freya Everest is London-based artist, producer and singer, crafting bedroom demos. Inspired by the likes of musical greats spanning multiple genres (Joni Mitchell and Fela Kuti to name a couple), my music enjoys mellow, organic sounds, harmony stacks and the occasional polyrhythm.
