Florence Sommerville Live at The Libra, Camden | An acoustic 'listening' music venue operated by TALENTBANQ.

Florence Sommerville

20-year-old Florence Sommerville, a singer-songwriter from Orsett, a small village in Essex, is one of the fastest-rising talents of 2025. She has played major Festivals both in the UK and Nashville, where she has got to co-write with hit country songwriters Gary Burr, Jan Buckingham and Sally Barris and played numerous Songwriter Rounds at the Bluebird Café, Commodore Grill, the Cambria Hotel and Maxwell House. She has opened for Nashville singers Hannah Bethel, Diana Jones and Hannah Aldridge plus legends like Hank Wangford and Tom Robinson. Her latest single, (I’ll Be Your) Best Broken Heart, has proved to be a big radio success and is a fine taster for her debut album, set for mid-July release.

There’s a raw rootsy quality to Florence’s music that belies her youthfulness. An assured performer, she takes total command of any stage from the outset and allows her crystalline vocals to shine on her well-crafted original songs. In short, Florence Sommerville is the total package. Her songs, her voice, her personality and naturalness on stage. There’s a little bit of something for everyone to love in Florence’s repertoire. Her live performances are warm and energetic, and thanks to catchy songs that encourage you to move your feet, it’ll be hard to stand still at her performance.
